Monster Mash at Waimanalo District Park

Looking for something fun to do this Halloween? How about a neighborhood party that is free to the public and includes a costume contest, keiki carnival games and a community dance?

The Waimanalo District Park hosts Monster Mash on Friday, October 30, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Categories for the costume contest include Age 4 and under (adorable, creative); Age 5 to 7 (adorable, creative); Age 8 to 10 (spooky, creative); Age 11 and above (spooky, creative); and Group 3 or more (spooky, creative).

Contest judging begins at 6 p.m.; contestants must register by 5 p.m. Keiki carnival games follow at 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., and the community dance begins at 7:30, concluding at 9:30 p.m.

All ages are welcome to participate in this tobacco, drug and alcohol-free event, which is sponsored by the City's Department of Parks and Recreation and Friends of Waimanalo, Waimanalo Senior Citizens Club, Windward Volleyball League, East Oahu Boxing Club, Hawaii Job Corp, Joyful Community Church, Harbor House, Queen Liliuokalani Children's Center, Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, Community Policing, Shimas, Kalama Valley Church and Pope School.
