A selection of arts programs are being offered for students affected by Furlough Fridays. Here's a look at some of them:

Furlough Fridays Art Workshops

Art workshops by MAC, My Art Class, will be offered from 8 to 11 a.m. Fridays at the Kapa`a Neighborhood Center and from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lihu`e Neighborhood Center. For grades 3 to 7; taught by a Kaua`i public school teacher. Contact: 639.3874 or www.mackauai.com.

Furlough Fridays Ceramics

Clay Play Hanalei is offering Furlough Fridays ceramics classes from noon to 1:30 and 2:30 to 4 p.m. starting today. All ages. Contact: Phyllis at 826-2539.

Furlough Fridays Art

Circles of Light will offer games, art programs and homework help for children ages 5 to 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Furlough Fridays at Lydgate Park. $30 per day. Contact: Aurora, 651-7204, aurora@ibskauai.com or Amber 808 635-5502.

Yoga Furlough Fridays

Kalaheo Yoga is offering two yoga classes on Furlough Fridays, one for kids ages 4 to 11 from 10:15 to 11 a.m. and the other for teens ages 13 to 19 from 11:15 a.m. to noon. Classes include relaxation techniques. $7 per class at Kalaheo Yoga, 4427 Papalina Rd.

Hanalei Enrichment Camp

Hanalei School PTSA is accepting registration for a Hanalei Enrichment Camp on Furlough Fridays for kindergarten through sixth grade taught by professional instructors. Creative writing, music, drama, yoga, art, physical education, team building, math, reading tutoring, gardening and guest instruction in African drums, filmmaking, science, foreign language, Pottery, dance and more. Furlough Fridays Creative Arts

The Kaua`i Academy of Creative Arts' Furlough Fridays program will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. for ages 5-13 at Wilcox Elementary School. Ages 5-6 will have Art Zone. Older students will study Hawaiian culture, art from found beach objects, `ukulele, artistic journals and mural painting. $250; assistance is available.
